What if you could create experiences people feel in their bodies?
You don't always need more words.
Sometimes transformation begins with a rhythm.
A drumbeat settling into the body.
Feet moving across the earth.
A circle of people breathing, listening and moving together.
The moment when someone stops thinking about how they should be and starts feeling what is actually alive within them.
This is the space the Wild Soma® Drum & Dance Circle Facilitator Training explores.
Not performance.
Not choreography.
Not becoming a musician or dance teacher.
Facilitation - Learning how to use rhythm, movement, sound, nature and circle to create meaningful experiences of connection and embodied awareness and developing the presence and practical skills required to hold the people within them.
Because participating in an experience is very different from facilitating one.
You need to understand how to create a container.
How to open and close a circle.
How to work with rhythm and group energy.
How to invite movement without imposing it.
How to create enough structure for people to feel safe while leaving enough space for something unexpected to emerge.
That is what this immersive training is designed to teach you.
You may already feel drawn towards bringing more embodied group experiences into your work.
Perhaps you are a yoga teacher wanting to move beyond the mat.
A nature practitioner wanting to create deeper experiences outdoors.
A retreat leader wanting to bring rhythm and movement into your gatherings.
A coach, wellbeing practitioner, artist or community facilitator wanting another way to help people connect with themselves and each other.
Or perhaps you've experienced the power of rhythm yourself and know there is something here you want to learn how to hold for others.
Because something happens when people begin to move together.
The thinking mind quietens.
Connection happens without everything needing to be explained.
And when rhythm, movement and circle are intentionally facilitated, they can create powerful opportunities for people to listen differently… to their bodies, to each other and to what is emerging within them.
You'll explore how rhythm can help people come into relationship with their bodies.
How movement can create opportunities for expression, exploration and embodied connection.
How circle creates a field of witnessing and belonging.
And how nature changes the quality of these experiences when we move beyond the walls of a room and into relationship with the living world.
This training is designed to sit alongside your existing professional practice.
It gives you another way to create meaningful group experiences without asking you to become somebody else.
This isn't a training where you sit in a room taking notes...You will learn through experience, observation, practice and reflection in nature.
Throughout the training you'll move between the roles of participant and facilitator.
You'll experience the practices yourself and you'll begin developing your own facilitation style.
Because good facilitation begins with embodiment.
You can't confidently invite someone into an experience you haven't explored yourself.
You'll drum, move, dance, listen.
You'll be witnessed, you'll facilitate, and gradually, you'll begin to feel that you can hold this too.

Day One — Rhythm, Drum & Embodied Awareness
We begin with rhythm, exploring the relationship between the drum, body and regulation.
You’ll develop your relationship with the drum, explore foundational rhythms and begin to discover how rhythm, movement and breath can support embodied awareness.
Alongside this, we’ll explore somatic movement and the difference between inviting movement and directing it.
Day Two — Movement, Dance & Circle
We’ll move deeper into movement and the collective experience of circle.
Through guided ecstatic dance and embodied practice, you’ll explore how to facilitate movement journeys that allow participants to find their own rhythm and expression.
We’ll also explore how to intentionally create, hold and close a Drum & Dance Circle.
Day Three — Nature, Facilitation & Your Own Circle
We’ll bring the practices together and explore what shifts when rhythm, movement and circle come into relationship with the living world.
You’ll have opportunities to practise facilitation, receive feedback and begin shaping your own Drum & Dance Circle experience.
By the end of the three days, you’ll have moved beyond simply experiencing the work.
You’ll have begun to hold it for others.
Create Your Own Circle Drum
One of the most magical parts of the training is creating your own circle drum.
Working with your hands, materials and intention, you’ll make something that can continue to accompany you in your own practice.
You’ll learn through rhythm, movement, listening, being witnessed and stepping forward to hold space.
You’ll leave with a drum you’ve made yourself and with the beginnings of your journey from participant to facilitator.
Your Coursework
There are two simple pieces of coursework to complete after the training:
A short reflective essay - Reflecting on your experience of rhythm, movement, embodiment and facilitation.

The Drum & Dance Circle Facilitator Training is a standalone specialist training.
It does not qualify you as a Wild Soma® Practitioner, and you do not need to complete Practitioner Training to join.
It is one expression of the wider Wild Soma® philosophy.
If, through this work, you discover that you want to explore the deeper methodology behind Body as Truth, Land as Mirror and Soul as Guide, the Wild Soma® Practitioner and our Advanced Guide Trainings offer that deeper pathway.
But you can also take this training and make it completely your own.
There is something ancient about gathering together in a circle.
Something powerful about rhythm.
Something liberating about moving without needing to perform.
The Wild Soma® Drum & Dance Circle Facilitator Training brings these elements together into a professional, experiential pathway for people who want to create embodied, connected and memorable group experiences.
You don't need to become someone else to facilitate this work.
You need to find your rhythm, your voice and your way of holding the circle.
